Will – Raising money for Cure Parkinson’s

Gary – Raising money for Parkinson’s UK

A truly unified challenge!

On 7 September, we’re riding 100 miles across the North Wessex Downs. Together we’ll be tackling 42 hills along the way, with each hill representing one of the 42 incredibly brave people with Parkinson’s who participated in the ground-breaking Phase II Bristol GDNF trial, which was co-funded by Cure Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s UK and Funding Neuro.

One of the 42 trial participants was Cure Parkinson’s late co-founder and President, Tom Isaacs. He was a passionate advocate for GDNF and one of the driving forces behind the Phase II Bristol GDNF trial.

We’re raising money to fund the most innovative and promising Parkinson’s research and specifically supporting further work into neurotrophic factors including GDNF and C-CDNF, a series of naturally occurring proteins which can restore damaged brain cells.

Parkinson’s is the world’s fastest growing neurological condition. It affects 10 million people worldwide and currently there is no cure. But there is hope. In the UK alone, Cure Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s UK and Funding Neuro invest millions each year into new potential treatments.

Your support will bring us one step closer to a cure.

Thank you

Will & Gary
